Hello, I’m Alex.

I am based in Bury, Greater Manchester. I have recently completed a Diploma in Person-Centred Therapy. My counselling practice includes placements with local charities, working with a broad range of clients and issues including mental health difficulties, domestic and sexual abuse, illness, grief, and substance misuse.

By being open to you and whatever you bring to counselling, I can help you find time and space to explore yourself and the world, and whatever issues you encounter. By building an honest, non-judgemental and accepting relationship we can shine light into the darkest corners, in which you will find resilience, courage, and wisdom.

Person-centred therapy is based on a fundamental truth: we are the experts on ourselves. There are times when we lose sight of that, and need some support to reconnect with the self. My role is simply to walk along that path with you, and to help you rediscover and accept yourself, in order that you can grow and change.
